Remove the top hose, unbolt the thermostat housing, remove old themostat and install new unit with new gasket. Replace top hose and fill with coolant. Be sure to re-check the coolant level after start up, beore you drive it anywhere, to eliminate any air pockets in the coolant.

The P0700 code is stored in the ECM and just tell you that there is a code in the TCM (Transmission Controller), that is the P0888.
DTC P0888 is telling you that the Transmission Relay output is always off; in this link can checl the Diag Chart for that code, this coul help...
