Question about 1993 Geo Storm
I have a 1993 Geo storm. The head gasket blew in a major way, so I purchased a used engine from a local wrecking yard. When the engine arrived, it was a 16 valve DOHC, instead of the standard 12 valve SOHC. I would appear that I was sent an engine from a GSI. Was the same transmission used for both of these models, or am I screwed, (stuck with an engine I can't use)?
There is no way they would leave you stuck with the engine!! However, the odds are that it should fit. First check the flywheel or flex plate. [Not sure if its a auto or manual.] If they bolt on, your are into installing the engine! Good Luck with it! Frankster016
