Volvo V50 Maintenance Light Reset

1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button
2. Turn ignition key to run position KPII (not the start position)
3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light begins blinking
4. Release Trip Odometer button
5. Turn ignition to off position

This post describes exactly how to remove the "Maintenance Overdue" Light on the Volvo V50 2.4i as well. Do exactly as follows:
1. Place key in ignition and turn to position "I"
2. Depress the Trip Odometer reset button (May need to be showing the T1 reading)
3. Keeping the Trip Odometer button depressed turn the key to the "II" position
4. The yellow exclamation point located in between the Speedometer and the Tachometer will begin to flash after a brief moment (and only for a few seconds)
5. When the light begins to flash, release the Trip Odometer button, and turn the key to the off position and remove.
You should find that this will solve the problem (at least for the 09' Volvo V50)

How do I turn off the "maintenance needed" light on my dashboard?

This procedure is suppose to be done buy a service tech that has changed you engine's oil. If they have forgotten and you want to reset the light, then it is acceptable. The procedure is easy. Step one:(with the key out of the ignition) gently press and hold in the mileage reset button. Step two: (Still holding the button in) slide the ignition key into the ignition and turn the key to the run position (do not start the engine) Step: wait 10seconds and you will see the "Maintenance Light" go out. Now let the button go. Step five: turn the ignition key back to off and the Maintenance Needed light is now reset. I hope that helps, let me know, good luck.

does cruise light come on when you start the car, during the lamp check stage (during first seconds of starting) If it doesn't then the indicator lamp is probably out.

Turn off "maintenance" light on dashboard

You will need a code reader/scanner to clear the codes. A cheap one should do the trick just fine. You can also borrow one from some auto parts stores, like Auto Zone.

My oil/inspection light is down to two bars, and I do my own oil changes, but I do not have a scan tool, and I would like to reset this light. How do I do it?

Look in your owners manual. Go to the area where it explains each part of your dashboard and what all the idiot lights represent. Whereever your maintenance reminder is should have a explanation to what it means and a page to get more info. Somewhere in those pages there will be a list of things to do to reset the maintenance reminder if someone other then the dealer do the maintenance. Should be pretty easy to do.

Good luck

Reset maintenance light

If I remember correctly, on the dash you have a select button. Hold the button down then turn the key on, until the maintenance light blinks and goes out. Turn the key off then back on and your light should be out.

1994 C180. Dashboard lights go almost off when headlights are turned on.

Hi,

The dashboard in the benz c180 is always good and highly illuminated.
I doubt that there may be some problem with the power to the lights present in the dashboard.

And i am sure there are no adjustment for illuminating the dashboard.
you need to call benz service centre for this problem.

Hope my info is useful,
Thanx for using fixya.
Cheers.

RE:LIGHT IN DASHBOARD

Exactly what maintenance did you perform 3 weeks ago? There should be a drain at the bottom of the radiator and also on the engine block. The coolant should be drained at both points, refilled with water, drained again. I would do this several times to flush all the detergent out. The exact location of these drains can be found in a repair manual for your Honda. You can also get info @ eautorepair (there is a charge, but I think the site provides lots of valuable info) If you have the owners manual, it should contain some of this info. After the system is flushed out thoroughly, refill w/ 50% coolant, 50% water. good luck! countrycurt0
