Question about 1993 Mitsubishi Expo 4 Door
I have a 1993 Expo LRV and it has been running fine and only has 85000 miles on it..., the other day I stopped the car put it into park and turned off the car..., i then applied the emergency brake..., ok now when i got back in the car and fired it up it was just like normal except when I attempted to put it in drive it would not budge.., same prob in reverse low and 2nd but if i put it in nutetral i can push the car and it rolls..., now there is no visible problems that I can see..., and all my fluids appear to check out and the car sounds fine when running it just wont recognize that I put it into gear and want it to drive? Any ideas?
Are you checking the tranny fluid while the car is running. It could be possible that your fluid is low (if checked while not running) and that there is not enough to fill the torque converter so then the car wouldn't move. But then you would also notice a leak coming from the tranny.

This is an internal transmission problem, not related to fluid level or any external cause, most likely a stuck or burned out transmission shift solenoid or even a failed transmission computer module, have them run a test for transmission trouble codes to get some idea of what has failed to cause this problem.
