Have your CV boots and half shafts checked. If these are cracked, they will dry out and cause a lot of noise when turning. Also check your swaybar links, these cause a lot of noise also, but not only while turning.
a whirring noise is most likley a wheel bearing. The fact that you can make it louder by placing more weight on the that side by turning confirms this. Not sure what you mean by having the front end replaced since this term doesnt apply to this condition.
noises during slow tight turns are usually CV joints going bad. A way to check, is to jack up one front wheel, set the parking brake, and put the car in drive without pressing the gas. Turn the wheel to both extremes, and listen for the noise. Repeat with the other front wheel (set the first one back down) and listen. Whichever makes the noise, is the side you need to change.
Try making tight turns to the right and then to the left. see if the grinding noise comes and goes. It could be your C/V joint and they need to be replaced. The noise will only come when your making the tight turns, you don't have to go fast. Walking speed will do and you can hear it with the window open or someone walking beside the Bravada. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.
