by lock assembly i assume you mean at the handle... possibly the bushings for the lock arms are shot so the arms are off kilter or its just sticking, try some WD40 or something similiar on the sliding parts. spray and work it several times also could be an alignment of the tailgate issue if the lock arms are binding
well 2006 crv had many issues. thats why i went for the brand new 2011 honda cr v ex but even this model seem to have its share of hiccups. anyways i think u need to get ur remote unlocked at a dealer.
you can buy new dampers, they are the gas charged shock absorber looking things which hold the door open, at dealers or on ebay motors. they wear out like everything else. usually they are quite simple to replace so long as you have someone there to hold the door up when you take them off.
Have you checked the fuses? When the door issue happened did anything else stop working? Could be fuse, power supply issue, remote issue, electrical, or something fallen off or broken inside the door. You'll need to climb in the back & carefully try to remove the panel on the door. Sometimes difficult when the door is closed. Just a few ideas for you to consider. Good luck
They all do it, its part of the security system that all the doors lock after a minute or so from unlocking if you don't open the driver's door. It prevents you from accidentally unlocking the car door while walking away and clicking the remote in your pocket, the car re-locks on its own. If you open with the remote then open only the rear door, the other doors all lock and when you close the rear the alarm goes off. What fun we have!
of course you can not start your engine because you have an immobilizer. you have to replaced the battery of the remote in order to disable the alarm for the car to run. or sometimes these remotes would have another unit as a spare key. use it if it is still working.
