Question about 2005 Ford F-150

Open Question

2005 f-150 armrest controls not working.

All armrest controls on drivers side have quit working.
This includes: power windows, power mirrors, power door locks,
and opening door no longer shuts the radio off after ignition is shut off.
Opening door on passengers side will shut radio off , with ignition shut off.
Door locks work on passenger side but power windows do not. I checked fuses and could not find a burned out one.

2005 F150 XLT all the controls on the drivers armrest do not work and also the keypad doesn't work. The keyfob lock unlock works.

The driver side armrest will not work in rolling down any windows in the truck, locking any doors, or moving the power mirrors. Also, the radio doesn't shut off when you open the driver side door. Only when you open the front passenger door. Can lock all the doors from the passenger side, but not the drivers side. What's going on?

SOURCE: Passenger Side Mirror Broke Off

No no, you will be able to do this job yourself, on the inside of the door, pop off the plastic cover to reveal the two bolts holding the mirror on, simply undo these, but be very careful not to drop the plug down inside the door.

SOURCE: Passenger side mirror replacement procedures

If its a power mirror there is more thing you will have to remove to get to the wires but if not there is a screw on the corner piece on the inside of the door. just pull the screw out and the bolts (3) that hold the mirror on are behind it. If it power then you will have to remove the door panel to access the wiring to disconnect it

SOURCE: how to install passenger side view mirror Ford

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

How do I replace the driver's door power window switches on the Audi Q7

Remove the door trim panel and replace the switch. You might be able to push up the switch from the door armrest from the hole below and in front of the armrest. Google the assembly pic. Or buy a Bentley EBahn CD and get access to EBahn Web.

Power mirror switches are usually located on the driver's door armrest forward of the power window and door lock switches, but some Troopers have this control mounted on the center console behind the shifter lever.

Remove the two armrest screws, slide the armrest towards the back of the door to remove.Remove the "triangle" cover that covers the standard mirror attachment screws.Use a small screwdriver to pop the clips on the window switch, and unplug it.I believe the rest of the panel is just secured with clips(I replaced the inside driver door handle on my work truck with my own home made steel replacement handle recently, but it has manual windows)

Need to replace drivers side rear view mirror, powered. I have the new mirror, just need to know how t install it.

You remove the door panel on the inside and it is bolted on from the inside. One wire clip and 3 bolts. Takes longer to remove and replace the door panel than replace the mirror....look for a hidden screw under the armrest , under the window/door lock button panel and sometimes behind the reflector or light on the bottom of door..Usually there are 3-4 screws and then the rest of the panel is held on by plastic clips. Get the screws out, then work a flat screwdriver or putty knife around the sides and bottom of panel, then lift upwards to get the top sealing side out of the track where the window runs.....Mike

Since it is only happening on the drivers side door to multiple switches and lights on that door only, I think the problem is the wiring harness as it enters the drivers door by the door hinges.
