The oil light dings and flashes when I press the break.

Hi, have you dipped the the oil and checked you have enough in the engine to keep it within the correct quantity to keep your engine safe . The only other option is the engine oil sensor needs replacing.

Have the check engine light scanned for codes related to this problem first. You may have a charging system issue causing low voltage resulting in the lights flashing/stalling.

This is the pressure light I think. Have that looked into RIGHT AWAY before you burn out the bearings in the engine.

super easy. gm did 2 things. in the fuse panel drivers door. there is a reset button. this resets for oil change light and low tire pressure. with key on hit the button, one of these light will be flashing, keep hitting it til change oil light is flashing. once it is flashing hold reset button til car dings and light stops flashing. done. if you have no reset button then turn key on press gas pedal fully down three times within three seconds of eachother light will flash and go out. good luck. these procedures are also in your owners manual.

get in your truck, insert your key in the ignition, turn it to on, but do not start the truck. once you have the

ignition on on press the pedal 5 to 7 times until you hear a ding sound. when it dings oil life reset will

show up on the dashboard. once that happens you can start up your truck and it will not show the oil

light. until the next oil change is due. good luck!

check for codes with scanner it most likely is the abs sensor on the rear differential housing that is bad easy fix

when you open the drivers side door you need to remove a panel door that will allow you to access the fuse box locate the the red button to the left side and press it a couple of times until you see your tire light flash after it starts to flash hold it in for a couple of seconds and you will hear a chime 4 times and you light will be reset you need to have your key turned on but not running to be able to do this.

May be the oil pressure sensor is bad, but i think it is worn or damaged oil pump.. Try to replace the sensor, if no change, then the pump or all the engine is bad - so replace or rebuild it..

its either low oil pressure or oil change reminder check with vehicle manual as to what oil light coming on means will also tell how to reset if oil reminder

Put key fob in. do no hit brake. press start. the bell dings. hold the odometer reset knob found on the left of the speedo. bell dings again. scroll through items/pages with the buttons on the turn signal cruise control signal lever . Select oil hold odometer knob again. It will ask you if you want to reset? you press odometer knob again. Done. Your welcome.
