PCM IS SAME AS ECU.YOU need to trace wiring as said before most will have 12 volt power and toggle ground from computer. check good injector see if you have constant 12volts if so then check your bad injector circuit it should also have 12volts. if it does not you need to find the break in the wire. if you do then you have a bad ground circuit this will be either coming out of computer or wire in between computer and injector

Hi,

Most designs calls for a common +12 supply to all injectors. If the others are receiving, then possibilities are:

  • corroded terminal/connector, scrape/clean/replace;
  • burnt/open wiring, splice/replace.
The other electrical end of the injector goes to the computer that switches it ON/OFF hence would measure a pulsating 12VDC with the engine running or during cranking.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

    Test light not flashing at injector 1 would indicate that the switching transistor inside the computer is defective.

Heres a older solution I managed to locate.

you should buy a noid light. Hook it up to the injector connector. It should flash as the car is running and that will tell you if it is getting its voltage. Also you can get a stethascope and listen to the injector. Is it "ticking?" You should hear a tick as the car is running. If not then you probally have a bad injector. They do go bad quite often. One last thing you can do is tap on it. Sometimes you can wake them up by doing this.

If you have a volt/ohm meter check the continuity between the # one fuel injector and the PCM (computer), if that lead has a good connection out to the injector then the # one injector grounding circuit is burnt in the PCM, this car is sequential fuel injection, so each injector has a separate wire from the PCM to open it, there are two wires to the injector, one is common to all the injectors, the other is from the PCM, that is the one you need to check continuity on.

    If the problem is not wiring then a new PCM is needed

How to bleed injector pump on isuzu nkr pick up

These are self bleeding so if diesel is getting to the pump it won't need bleeding. If you still feel the need to bleed the system then loosen one injector pipe turn the engine until you see diesel coming tighten again it should fire up. If you have a good flow of diesel coming from the filter to the pump and diesel at the injector pipe then your pump pressure may be low. To check remove any injector reconnect the pipe to it with the injector end where you can see it. Turn the engine with the starter a few times the diesel should be making a mist. Wear eye protection for this test

My isuzu truck mixes diesel and engine oil. what is the cause?

the injector are along top of engine , the lines all run back to a pump usually attached to engine side, only unit with multiple metal tubes running out to engine top, removal of injectors requires some special tools. this requires good diesel knowledge and tools to repair either one.

Knock in engine

it can also be an injector. injectors tend to supply more diesel after long service. To check if this is the problem: let the motor idle whilst it knocks. start from the front of the motor- loosen no1 injector fuel line- the motor will start idling roughly as fuel supply to no1 piston is starved. If the knock persists, tighten the fuel line and move to no2 injector and repeat the process. the knock will gradually go away if one of the injectors' fuel lines are loosened and the injector is faulty. If you get 1 or more injectors with these symptoms, remove and replace the injector. If the problem persists, it can either be that one of the diesel pump plungers are worn and supplies too much fuel or a big end bearing is faulty.
