Question about 2001 Isuzu Rodeo
The reduced power light goes off and on at times. When it comes on the truck has a slow take off and will not pick up speed over 40 mph. I bought the truck 2 months ago as is and the light came on the first day but when I stopped and turned the ignition off it didn't come back on. Now its on again and turning off the ignition isn't working this time.
I just purchased my 2001 Rodeo the engine light came on. I replaced the spark plugs and oxygen sensor and though the car seemed to ride a little better, the engine light continued to stay on. After a week or so I experienced the exact same problem. The vehicle would not go over 40 miles per hour and the reduced power light came on. I had it put on a machine and got many different codes, however, all the codes lead up to the computer. I had just the computer replaced and all is well. Most of the time, the read out will show many codes, but most of the time they all lead to just one part. Try that. It worked for me and now it runs great.

This happened to my 2002 EXT and two of my buddies Escalades. All 3 were AWD. All we did was replace the Front Hubs. I replaced both Front hubs and the speed sensors. Actually I replaced the speed sensors first because thats what code was coming up, and it didn't fix the problem. So after talking with a freind who is a big time GM Mechanic, he told me it's probably my barrings and since they are sealed I needed to replace the hubs. This is an easy job. I did them myself, and I am by no means a "mechanic".
