My Isuzu Rodeo 2004 headlights work buts it's running and dashing lights are not working.

Check the lights for a bad ground.

the plugin to the winter drive switch in console has come lose. had the same problem in my rodeo. if the dash light isnt coming on then its unpuged.

More likely coming from the tail lite area. Check all bulbs, replace if the filament looks black, even if it works. Next look underneath car for wire(s) hanging or broken and grounding out on chassis or other metal. Must be something shorting the circuit to ground or a bulb drawing too many amps.

sounds like a bad diode in the alternator put a test light between the neg cable and the battery if the light is on you have a draw unplug and remove the cable from the alternator and see if the light goes out if so its bad

You need to replace the Alternator. The vehicle died because you removed the power supply to all the accessories, if you remove the Negative cable and it dies then you know for sure it is the alternator. that is an old shade tree way to test the alternator.

1992 rodeo does not have a cam sensor

I'm assuming its an original alarm or system that came from factory or dealer. When the light blinks is because the alarm is activated. Look underneath the radio the alarm brain might be there. There will be a label on it saying alarm or security system etc. Disconnect the harness to it and try operating your vehicle.

If it isn't low on brake fluid (which can cause that on some cars) then I would look for a corroded connector at the rear taillights...

TO TROUBLE SHOOT ELECTRICAL YOU MIGHT NEED TO TRY A GOOD BULB OF CORRECT TYPE INTO SOCKET IN BRAKE FIXTURE THEN ALSO MAKE CERTAIN THE REGULAR TAIL LIGHT ELEMENT IS GOOD REPLACE FUSE WITHOUT PRESSING BRAKE LIGHTS ON IF FUSE IS OK THEN TURN ON THE RUNNING LIGHTS SEE IF THE ONE IN QUESTION IS COMING ON IF IT IS AND THE FUSE IS OK THEN PRESS BRAKE PEDAL AND SEE IF THE BULB LIGHTS WITH THE BRAKE ON ALSO THE FOUR WAY FLAHER IF FUSE IF STILL GOOD IT MIGHT ALLOW DASH LIGHTS TO COME ON MANY VEHICLES HAVE A SAFETY WAY OF LETTING YOU KNOW YOU HAVE NO TAIL LIGHTS BY ALSO TURNING OFF THE DASH LIGHTS.
