You have to pull the fuel tank out, make to use every precaution when you do this, I have had a few tanks blow up in my face and burn my hair off (young and in a hurry!), ground the tank, don't make any sparks

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1994 accord?

It's on the fuel tank itself. Here's a link to info. Also check your fuel pump relay, located under the dash. Than could be your problem.

I have to put on a new fuel pump, and I need the location and diagram of it. It's a '91 Chevrolet with a 350 engine

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank attatched to the sending unit. You have to drop the fuel tank out to replace the pump (cheapest) or the whole assembly.

How do i remove the fuel pump?

To remove the fuel pump you will need to drop the fuel tank itself. Simply remove the filler hose from tank, and using a bottle jack with a block of wood on top, center jack under fuel tank near the center. You will need someone else to help with the removal if there is more than half a tank of fuel. Once the four bolts are removed. slowly lower the tank with jack and remove wires from the tank. Completely remove tank from under vehicle. Using a screwdriver and hammer, carefully tap the metal ring (or remove clips if plastic) and pull the pump straight out. When installing new pump, be certain that a new screen is purchased and attached to bottom of fuel pump assembly. Insert new assembly through top of tank and replace the retaining ring or clips. Then, in reverse order, install the fuel tank, reattaching wires before fully raising tank. Reinstall filler hose, be certain tank bolts are tight, and you are done. FYI...some fuel pump assemblies come with a new screen included. Be certain that new pump has screen included. If not, purchase screen. If the screen is not replaced, it will void the warranty on new fuel pump. Hope this helps you out.

Where is the Volvo s70 fuel pump located

The stock Bosch fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and can be accessed by removing the rear seat. Certain models have been recalled due to cracked flanges, permitting fuel to leak. If you smell gasoline inside or outside the vehicle or see wet fuel lines underneath the vehicle, contact your local Volvo dealer immediately. See below:

How do you replace the fuel pump on a 1993 hondalx

If your engine has a carbuerator, then these are the steps:

Externally Mounted Fuel Pump
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the gas filler cap to relieve any excess pressure in the system.
  3. Loosen the lug nuts of the left rear wheel.
  4. Elevate the rear of the car and support it safely on properly placed stands. Remove the left rear wheel.
  5. Use a pair of suitable fuel line clamps to pinch shut the fuel hoses leading to and from the pump.

  1. Disconnect the positive lead wire and ground wire from the pump.
  2. Remove the fuel pump retaining bolts, taking care not to lose the spacers and bolt collars.
  3. Remove the fuel pump and its protective cover as a unit.
The pump cannot be disassembled and must be replaced if defective.
To install:
  1. Install the fuel pump and cover. Make certain the mounting collars and insulators are in the proper location. Tighten the mounting bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm).
  2. Engage the wiring to the fuel pump.
  3. Connect the fuel hoses, making certain the lines are correctly placed and the clamps are secure. When in doubt, use new clamps; they are cheap insurance against leaks. Remove the fuel line clamps.
  4. Install the left rear wheel. Lower the car to the ground.
  5. Install the fuel filler cap. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Turn the ignition ON for 3 seconds, listening for the fuel pump operation. Switch the ignition OFF, then ON again. This will build pressure within the fuel lines.
  7. Start the engine. It may crank for several seconds until the lines are completely filled.

The car ran out of gas, and after putting new gas in the car it started up then died. I took it to a mechanic he said he tapped on the fuel pump and it started right up, but suggested I replace the pump....

yes. the pump has gone out on the car it is a comon problem on chevy's it is located in the fuel tank under the car. get ready to spend some money they ain't cheap and I would recomend replacing your fuel filter every other oil change because its the life of the fuel pump. and the aftermarket pumps aren't worth a dime. the pump cost on average 234.95 at most parts stores we are a shop here in mulberry and we charge a flat rate of 110 on any intake fuel pump their a pain to change. hope this helps.

FUEL PUMP REPAIR

It will almost certainly be inside the gas tank. Pick up a Haynes manual, you'll be glad you did as this is not a simple job. You'll have to drain the fuel tank at least most of the way, lower it, remove the pump sending unit from the top of the tank, replace it and put it all back together.
