on what type of car? most of these check SOON just auto comes on at 50 k miles just for maintenance check ! does not have anything to so with any tune ups it is just a maintenance reminder and just needs to be reset with a scanner or on some cares it can be reset by key on and off combination and also brake pedal combination depends on what car it is
! dont forget that tune ups are a thing of the past :) almost most newer cars only require replacing plug wires every 50 k miles plugs are just victims of other problems like bad sensors or fuel and air management
There is noproblem - that's a "maintenance-minder" light based on miles driven. It's reminding you that some scheduled maintenance based on your mileage is recommended (oil change, brake inspection, tire rotation, etc). If there was a problem the check-engine light would come on.
this usually is a maintenance reminder light the factory installs to have the driver get the car in for usually a emission component check(components that affect emissions) to make sure they are working.then they turn the light off.if maintenance has been done regularly and the check engine light(service engine soon light)hasn`t come on then you could take it to a shop that has the capability to turn off the light and have them turn the light off.some of these will come on after so many miles(kilometers) of driving just to get the car in for a service.
the anti-lock and traction lights will come on together if there is a common problem with the two, since they are closely related. may be a wheel speed sensor or something similar. the service engine soon light indicates a problem with the engine computer, can be anything from an emission system problem or an engine performance problem. all of these lights can come on with no apparent running problems on the car. the service vehicle soon light is basically a maintenance reminder, an oil change light. take the car into a shop and have the codes read for these lights.
disconnect the positive battery cable for 3 min.reconnect and start it up,if light comes back on,there is a malfunction in computer system that controls your drivetrain.service engine soon light pertains to the computer, sensors, etc.this light is not for maintenance reminders!
I purchased a hand held Code Reader at WalMart for around $100.00. The reason your Check Engine light is coming on is that you need to "Check your Engine!" If you have a service manual it will tell you what the codes mean. I had Check Engine Light on for months because I had a high idle speed of over 2,000 RPM. I kept digging on the Saturn Forum website because I could figure out what was causing the high idle. Finally after about 6 months of the annoying Check Engine Light coming on I finally figured out that I had a blown intake manifold gasket. I changed the damn thing and now the light stays off! Imagine that! The Code Reader will also reset you engine so the "Check Engine Light doesn't come back on until the computer senses that there is still a problem.
