I put a knew starter a knew starter relay and a knew battery and still nothing, it has the 4.0L v6 I can jump it from the silenoid but thats it nothing else. Still nothing wny other suggestions?

This is basically the same probem that I have. When I trun the key I can hear the relays but nothing else. I've swapped around a couple of the relays under the hood as they all appear to be the same, however, the results are the same. The silanoid doesn't click or anything. All the dash lights and everything come on fine, battery has good charge and the cables are tight.

I have NO idea what this could be. One thing to note, this does have Autostart on it.

I have the same problem-sometimes it won't start in park-then starts in neutral. Last night for first time wouldn't even start in neutral-even though I had just started it-drove 2 miles, parked it for 5 minutes then wouldn't start -no sound-nothing

4.0 Always ran great, shut it off went to eat came back ,unlocked door horn went off lights flashing ,won't start, turns over start for about 2 seconds and dies. Never even knew I had an alarm system till...

The alarm system on your Jeep Grand Cherokee is controlled by a small, approximately 3 inch square box that plugs into wiring under your dash on probably the drives side towards the middle. It is black in color and is printed with the words "alarm module. If you unplug that the alarm system will be permanently disabled and starting issues may be resolved as well.

I THINK YOUR RIGHT! CHECK FUSES AND RELAYS FOR POWER ALSO IF THE POWER SUPPLY TO STARTER IS NOT A GOOD CONNECTION THEN IT WILL FAIL TO EVEN TRY TO START. GOOD LUCK!

My 1996 Jeep Cherokee will not start. It has a fully charged battery. When I turn the ignition all the dash lights come on but the engine wont turn over does not even click

First remove the connectors from the battery. Make sure the battery terminals and the connectors are clean and free of corossion. Try to start the vehicle again. If nothing then I would say it is a faulty starter. By the way always replace the selonoid (bendix) when you replace the starter.

Jeep wont start checked connection and fuses

Check the battery, it sounds like it's flat. Try charging the battery to see if it recovers, but if the battery is about 3 years old or more it is likely to have failed and replacement is the only viable solution.

Sounds like the starter is going out. Autozone will check those for free. It's just 2 bolts mounting the thing. It's under the passenger side rear of the engine. Undo battery, those 2 bolts and keep track of which wires go where. Run down to Autozone for a check or a new starter.
