Under the hood, on the back of headlight you will find a electrical plug. That plug can be taken and turned about 90° counter clockwise and poped out. It holds the actual bulb for the headlight, which you just pull out and push in the new one. Push the connector back into the headlight assembly and twist it back to lock it in. There may not be much room, so small hands are a plus.

Transmission install 89 ford ranger
You should be able to rent a spline alignment tool from the parts house where you got transmission. I'm assuming you have a manual transmission so the clutch pad doesn't want to cooperate? I think even with an automatic it's much the same.

I have an 87 ford ranger and i put a 89 trans in it and now the overdrive doesnt work they said in 88 they put a second shift seloniod in it, do i need another computer out of an 89 to make it work or what...
that makes sense. you will need to get the computer from that 89 too.

I have a 1989 ford ranger with a 2.3L engine. I have spark on the exhaust side plugs. No spark on the intake or fuel side plugs. Have changed both coil packs and ingition control modual. What else is there...
Check to see if there are valve/header issues.

89 ford ranger i have push button 4x4 it doesnt work and the lights beside the buttons never come on any solutions. also transmission will not change into over drive any suggestions?

Will '89 Ranger leaf springs fit a '99 Ford Ranger 4x4?
Measure the distance from bolt to bolt, and to the center. If they match then, they match, if not you will have to check the numbers with fords tolerances to avoid an axle wrap. But it should fit, maybe just a little stiffer of a suspension from the 4x4.

All the bearings for the rear diff are pressed off and on, they can be done at home if u have a high quality bearing puller, but to press them on should be done at the machine shop.
