You have to go into the dealship and have them put it in for you....they'll charge you a labor fee...and then give you the print out with the code on it.

Do you have the model number and serial number off the radio chassis, if not pull the radio out and record that info, then call the local dealer and they can access the build data on your car from Honda's data base and supply the code for the radio. Since this is a anti-theft code they may ask you to come down to the dealer and verify you are the owner

Replaced alternator now radio doesn't work

Your radio is not receiving power.

Or sometimes on newer cars when the battery is disconnected as when you replace the alternator, anti theft mechanism kicks in and radio has to be "reset" to operate. Consult your dealer for assistance on this.

My 2008 nissan altima radio has no power after changing the battery is there any fix for this i heard disconnecting the negative cable for 10 min will fix it

what you heard is wrong
there is an anti-theft code in the radio that is activated when the battery is disconnected or power to the radio is interrupted
you have to get that code and reinstall it in the radio before it will again work

My friend replaced the positive terminal cable on her 2005 nissan altima with a positive terminal cable from the factory and now the car won't start at all. There is power to all the fuses and the battery...

Hello.
It is very likely that the terminal is fine. Many vehicle owners are not aware that the newer factory installed anti-theft systems will lock down the car, ( prevent it from starting ), if the battery is disconnected for more than just a couple of minutes. In the future if you need to disconnect the battery, make sure that you dis-arm the anti-theft system first

You should be able to find out how to dis-arm/over-ride the anti-theft system in your owners manual.

I hope this helps you.

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima, the battery went dead and now the radio will not come on. Neither the radio nor the clock work. How do I fix this problem?

If you replaced the battery then check the fuse for the radio. If it's good then the radio may require a code to be input for it to work again as an anti theft feature. Give you local dealer a call and see if they can talk you thru it over the phone.

Does the 2005 altima radio use a code?

a lot do, depends on the type of radio in the car, if it uses a code the radio will say theft protected, or if the power is lost then you will see the word code on the screen of the radio.

I change my car battery and now my cd player will not turned on

HI. this vehicle has a theft system that will kick in if the battery is dead or disconnected from the vehicle. The radio is in lock mode and can only be unlocked by inputting a standard code specifically made for this vehicles radio. Most of these codes are located in the owners manual. If you have lost your manual, you can call the dealership for this code or, send for it by contacting Nissan.

pleas rate and god bless.
