Sorry... Year63chante,
When somebody say
GARBAGE Truck... I immediately
think RING & PINION gears (should be speed sensitive
((if you have any oil in there... Lets hope)).
Probably the most common cause for loud engine noise
are
BEARINGS... or LOW POWER STEERING FLUID...
Many serious Old time "
MECHANICS" really do use
various tools, screw drivers, extensions & sticks ...
As listening devices... Problem is... They are inherently
UNSAFE...
If you accidentally stick that long EXENSION into your
FAN... it May end up sticking out of that OTHER EAR...!!
PROPER-TOOL:
Mechanic's Stethoscope
(safe & inexpensive)
Amazon com Lisle 52500 Mechanic Stethoscope Automotive
ACCELLERATING ...
would seem to indicate drive line or wheel bearings...!!
Power loss... Get your codes read...
Do NOT let the
SALES CLERK convince you...
You MUST by new OXYGEN SENSORS... as
NEW
OXYGEN SENSORS generally report the same
DTCs (diagnostic trouble code) just as well as the
OLD OXYGENEN Sensors...
Get those
codes & come back here...
>>> ((( preferably b at an exhaust shop )))
We can do this (together)
