I have a 2000 Ford Windstar and the air will not blow anywhere but on the windshield no matter where you set the dial to blow.

What would cause our van to keep stalling out whenever we come to a stop sign/ light? I'm hearing a squealing coming from the water pump( I think its the water pump) Then again the guy at advance tells me...

My 2000 Windstar with the 3.8 liter V6 would stall when idling or at intersections. (The squealing is probably a separate problem from stalling.) It ran fine down the road, but stalled at stop lights. The fix was to replace the Idle Air Control Valve. It is an easy to replace item, since it is held on by two bolts right on the top of the Air intake from the air cleaner. I tried to clean the old one, with spray cleaner, but it only helped a little. Since stalling at an intersection is dangerous, especially when you need to get out of the way of oncoming traffic, I opted to just buy a new replacement valve. You can get one from O'Reileys, Autozone, PepBoys, NAPA, et. It cost almost $100, but how much would getting hit cost if you could not get out of the way of oncoming traffic. Replacing it took about ten minutes. My Windstar is now reliable when I need to blast off from a dead stop after idling at a signal.

Here is a link to the valve that I got a NAPA just to show you what a small simple, but vital, part it is.

Your van has four o2 sensor's, the code should tell you which one is bad for exsample code should be like,
o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 or 2
o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 or 2

Also make sure you don't have a vacum leak.

2002 Ford Windstar Error Code P1131 And P1151

those two codes are for the o2 sensors. both are the upstream sensors on the front and rear banks. so they are desinagted bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1. them most common cause for this is faulty o2sensors , bad gas and of a poor running engine. so if your car runs good (no misfire) and gas is ok then replace the o2sensor witch is the very most common cause.
