Problem for BMW 2003 325

My son drove thru some high water and stalled. I towed it home and we removed the spark plugs, found no water in them. The air breather was full of water so I dried it out and replaced. Changed the oil. The car cranks but never starts. What else am I missing?

Check to see if you have good compression in all cylinders. I changed a few engines in the past the went through high water had water in the cylinder but made its way out, this was enough to bend the valves. Customer wanted new engine.

Are you getting spark to the engine? Also verify that the fuel pump is working.
