Take wheel off, take off axle nut and split ring, take off calliper, remove rotor, look behind hub assembly should be 2 or more bolts holding it in place, remove them and pull off hub (sometimes needs to be hit with a hammer from behind to loosen... I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0L that has a problem starting. Battery is fine & if you push start it it'll start 4-5 times with the key then not start. Replaced starter and the problem remains

When you start the Lancer, does it actually turn over and start? Or does it sputter while you're pressing the start button?

This is what I would start with. First, I'd find your fuel regulator and follow the vacuum line that leads to the engine - then unplug that. Find some extra tubing or rag that you can replace that plug with to keep it sealed. Then, if you're car starts running, you'll know its just a bad regulator.

If that doesnt work, the second thing I'd try is pulling off the air-intake and spray some brake cleaner in there to see if it will start. If that works, then you have a fuel leak or clog somewhere thats preventing your fuel from reaching the sparkplugs.

Hope this helps-

I can't find the spark plugs on my mitsibushi lancer equippe (56 reg) 1.6

generally follow the wires from the cap and rotor or coil packs to the spark plug located in the cylinder head which sits on top of the block.

most likely under the vehicle if it has one ?' if it works ok then leave fuel filter alone ,i very rarely change them unless the casing is going rusty because they shouldnt need changing unless you are refilling tank from a rusty can because the fuel delivery pumps in the gas stations have filters in them .

Hi i have a mitsubishi lancer 1.3 petrol 2006, i

wow ok i am from australia our lancers only come in a 2.0 or 2.4 i was shocked to see a 1.3 lancer
now with the key
every time you incert the key into the ignition it reads the key as there is a chip in the orignal keys so thatway the immobiliser knows thatit is safe for the car to start
if the cra can not read the key it will not let the car start evan if it is twisting to start etc
you need to go to mitsubishi and have them copy some new keys and let them reset the codes on the immobiliser if you try to do so your self it may trigger a cold shut down
this is when the immobiliser its self needs to be replaces as well as the keys
hopes this helps

Condensation inside 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Equippe 4dr

Condensation is caused by the difference in temp from internal to external of ur car. Be aware of the engine temps & where your temp slider or environment control is set. If the is a draft coming from the centre console try changing to recirc mode on the fan setup as this eliminates air from external flowing through your car. If the draft persist I would go for a drive to cause the draft & find out exactly where it is comin from. Remember to keep it simple & check for broken vents or similar.

Enjoy & good luck!

Condensation inside car (Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Equippe 4dr)

You might want to check to see if your heater core, which is located under the dash and inside the car, is not leaking. Look to see if you have a wet rug on the passenger side. If it is not leaking then try turning you vent knob to outside air and not recirculating.
