Question about 2002 Land Rover Freelander
Broke down yesterday - seems to be transmission fault, felt like there was something coming through the floor and loads of knocking.
Fluid all over the bottom of the engine (not engine oil) - AA fella thought it was transmission fluid ??
Is it a massive job and do you have any idea on cost of repair ?
Got a mobile mechanic to look at it later today / tonight.
You will need to replace a new transmission, from your discribtion it seems that there is no point to fix the transmission.its better to get a new or reconditioned trans.save time and money.
