Question about 1994 Geo Metro
Hi, I have a 1994 Geo Metro. I am used to working on old carburated cars. This also has the throttle body injection, is there some type of " idle up solenoid " for when the A/C is turned on and if so where could i find it? I know if it is equipped with one it would be on or near the throttle body but there are so many gizmos on there that i am not sure what i am looking at. Any help would be awesome!

Sounds like the timing is retarded. When was the last time the timing belt replaced. The timing belt is wearing out and stretching causing the timing to ****** itself.

i have no idea about an idle up solenoid relay but i had the same problem.. there is a hex screw on the motor that takes a very small allen wrench head where you can adjust the idle from there. its near the throttle body

The firing order is 1-3-2, distrubtor rotates counter clockwise. looking at engine from front of vehicle cyl. # 1 will be on your left cyl.# 2 center and cyl.# 3on your right.

You might want to see if the timing belt might have jumped. If you getting gas and spark it should of fired.Try this Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank on it for a few.By doing this you shut off fuel flow to motor and it tries to burn what has been injected.Don't let off of the pedal or make sure to press down before cranking.Maybe it flooded it self by cranking slow..If car still does not start after cranking the motor over a few times spay some starting fluid into the intake or throttle body and try to start. If fires and misses back fires has a slow pedal response its more than likely the timing belt....
