I own a 85 Toyota Pick-up, I have replaced the filter. The filter sits just to the side on the fuel tank on the passenger side of the vehicle. In front of the back tire but behind the filler.

What could be the problem my car lacks of power

What make and model of vehicle ?How many miles on it ? When does it lack power, all driving conditions or just under a load, such as going up a hill under heavy throttle ? A couple of thing's right off that it could be is a plugged catalytic converter , plugged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump. Are there any lights lite on the dash , check engine light etc.. Have you experienced any strange noises or happenings ,like engine back firing. How does the engine run ,smooth ,ruff ? Have you had spark plugs changed and wires if it has them ?

My toyota innova manual transmission engine lacks power accelerating and its really hard to get 120km

Another cause of power loss in diesel engines is clogged fuel filter. Some vehicles have additional fuel filter INSIDE the fuel tank. I had my tank taken down and the inside filter cleaned and it fixed the problem. Some petrol stations and repair shops provide this service. If replacing the fuel filter in the engine compartment doesn't fix the problem, try this one. Toyota 22r starts hard and floods. Repalced

It sounds like the carb. float is set to high and /or the needle and seat has some dirt in it allowing to much fuel inside the carb.. This will allow to much fuel into the engine. It seems the carb could use a rebuild and dont forget to replace your fuel filter.I hope this helps.

86 toyota cachked fuses mry stalled while driving

try cleaning out the carb, replacing fluids, and then put a fuel filter on it, because all the 1980-1988 toyotas didnt have fuel filters on them. Just go buy one cheap from your local hardware store, and install it on your fuel line.
This same thing happened to my 1987 toyota 22r pickup truck.

Change your fuel filter, and run a can of "Seafoam" in your next tank.....
Check your spark plug condition and connections, as well as your distributor cap
