Use the heater hose to back flush the cooling system, they make an adapter kit for what you are doing, it's very inexpensive, it goes in the supply line to the heater core, that is the larger of the 2 hoses.

One other comment, the hose goes from the engine to the bulkhead, and the backflush method I gave you is correct for any car or truck, period.

My 2001 olds sil mini van keeps overheating :( we have replaced the water pump temp sensor thermostat and flushed it with Prestone Super radiator flush and put in peak antifreee 50/50 so to not mess up...

How long can you drive it before it gets hot ?
Are you positive all of the air is out of the cooling system ?
You could run it without the thermostat to check for a blockage in the system that would prevent flow. If the block is full of coolant, and the water pump is pumping it thru the passages, you should have heat.

No heat

first check to make sure the coolant level is full.

if it is than try back flushing the heater core.

If back flushing the heater core works have the cooling system flushed.

1995 Gran Am 4 cylinder. I want to back flush my cooling system using the Prestone ''Flush 'N Fill Kit. Where do I insert the Tee? I do not know which is the radiator inlet hose as this is where Prestone...

insert the tee by cutting one of the heater hoses and clamping it to the two ends that result.

determine which one is the inlet hose. It is further away from the water pump housing so that when you backflush through it, it also flushes out the heater core.

Hope this helps.

1997 olds sillouette running low on coolant -

If it is just low now it may just be age and needs to be flushed and changed. If the problem is always there and you are not over filling the system cjheck your overflow. Also pressure test the system for leaks don't just look. Check it under pressure, leak may be very slow and will only show up under pressure. Also if all that checks fine watch for white smoke coming out of the tailpipe. That will indicate coolant in the exhaust.

2001 cadillac deville, overheats without loss of coolant

First, provided their are no visible coolant leaks and/or loss of coolant with no signs of leaks, I would thoroughly flush cooling system and replace coolant, then check and/or replace thermostat (you can place thermostat in boiling water to check for proper function), if you have tried these 2 steps and still are experiencing overheating you may need to replace your water pump which can be a tricky job if you're unfamiliar and try to do it yourself, however, I could walk you through it if necessary. Also visually check your radiator hoses for bulges, wear ,etc along with heater hoses etc. You may want to also check radiator fins to see if they are dirty/obstructed and clean if necessary. Let me know if I can assist you further and how it works out

Heater blows cold air in my escort van

I take it the water level in the expansion tank is ok. You could have a blocked core in the heater. Also the heater could be leaking. You could try flushing the cooling system and checking for leaks and blockages.

2001 osmobile sillouette mini van

In order to replace the upper rollers, you will need to tap out the pin that holds the rollers to the track. When you do this, the door will want to fall out / off. Need 2 people. One to hold top of door so it wont fall out, the other to hold bottom of door and install the new rollers. Not somthing you would want to do in your garage unless you are a mechanic. Some goes for the lower rollers - Tech jk
