Front axle

Remove the tire. remove the strut bolts. remove the axle nut. push the axle out of the hub(hammer out if necessary). Pull/push the hub away to get the axle completely out. Use a pry bar to get the axle out of the transmission. replace in reverse order. add fluid if necessary.

The driver rear tire wables when driving

I assume that the wobble is side to side and not up and down. The most benign cause of wheel wobble is a bent tire rim; but since you've tried another wheel and still get the wobble, the cause could be a bent housing, bad bearing, a number of things. In any case, if you don't get it fixed, a castastrophic failure is likely to happen. The rear axle is semi-floating; the axle and wheel are held on only by the pressed-on bearing and a small circlip. See a mechanic ASAP.

How do i remove cv anxle on front of my 1991 geo prism?

  1. Remove the tire, caliper and the rotor
  2. loosen the cv axle nut on the axle
  3. remove the nut from the lower balljoint
  4. use a balljoint spliting fork to break control arm free from spindle
  5. pry down on control arm and move spindle to side and pull axle out of the spindle, use some wire to tie spindle off to the side.
  6. use a pry bar and pop axle free from the trany, slide axle out of the trany, reverse to install.

How do i remove the hub assembly on a 94 geo metro to change the rotor?

You have to:
Remove the large nut that holds CV axle into to hub and gently push the axle out of the hub.
Remove the brake caliper.
Pop the tie-rod-end's ball joint out of the spindle.
Remove the two bolts that hold the strut to the spindle.
Remove the bolt that holds the "a-frame" arm to the bottom of the spindle.

The hub (the part that holds the 4 tire studs) is machine-pressed into the wheel bearings which are hidden inside the spindle, so you will have to have the hub pressed out of the spindle to free the brake rotor which is behind it.
