Hey DonAld, these are not hard to replace..( I do not know which engine you have..it makes a difference!! ).. take a PICTURE of where the current TPS os positioned and located... the radial (adjustment) location IS critical!!.. here is a link to Autozone, ...O'Reilly's, and Advance Auto should have one too..
The 2004 nissan titan is drive by wire, meaning there is no cable to control the gas pedal to throttle. This system is computer controlled with a motor at throttle body and pedal sensors.
the TPS throttle position sensor is located inside the throttlebody . on most of these the complete throttle body must be replaced as there is no sperate tps sensor it is complete, i would check and make sure this is the problem . GM started making TPS replacement sensors for there throttle bodies.
2000 Volvo S 70 with code po220, this code is for the TPS1. you will need to have the throttle position sensor (TPS) tested , a scan tool will be very helpful with this, i would have a shop look at it and test it,
You may need to have it replaced or adjusted if adjusting can be done, sometimes the tps is non-adjustable , the wiring will also need to be checked and tested, good day.
A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR(TPS) is usually located on the butterfly spindle so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle valve butterfly. Throttle actuator control(TAC), that code comes from that part of the system too.
The Throttle Position Sensor, or TPS is connected to the throttle shaft on the throttle body.

Remove the air intake tube at the throttle body.
Disengage the TPS wiring connector and remove the two mounting screws.
Carefully remove the TPS from the throttle body.
The throttle shaft end has a tang that can be fitted into the TPS
two different ways. Only one of the installed positions is correct. When
correctly positioned, the TPS can be rotated a few degrees. To
determine correct positioning, place the TPS onto the throttle body with
the throttle shaft tang on one side of the TPS socket. Verify that the
TPS can be rotated. If the TPS cannot be rotated, place the TPS on the
throttle body with the throttle shaft tang on the other side.
Tighten the two TPS mounting bolts to 60 inch lbs. (7 Nm) and engage the wiring connector.
Manually operate the throttle and check for any binding.
Install the air intake tube.
