You shouldnt have to take the housing off their sould be a lttle hole to install a new head light its on the back of the housing their you will see the back of the light bulb and all you do is unclip the old light and plug in and clip the new one its that simple

Step 2...The '1" tabs' are "L" shaped (upside down L's with the smaller part of the L facing you) and are locking levers. This may take a little force to get them to raise and the tab closest to the tire well will be hardest to manipulate.

Step1 First face the vehicle so the battery in on the right. Second open hood. Third Remove the Grill by pushing firmly on two retainer clips that are on the top, use the wide slot screwdriver to get the rest of the clips off. Pull up gently on the grill it should then pop out. The grill extends under each headlight assembly any other retainer clips should release when the grill in popped out.

Step2 Fourth on top of the headlight assembly you will see one 1" tab on the right and left side, pull the tabs upward about two inches and this should release the headlight assembly. You then should be able to pull the headlight assembly out toward you. Step3

Finally at the back of the headlight assembly you will see two rubber caps one for low beam and one for high beam, the white base is for the low beam and the black base is for the high beam. Unsnap the wire harness from the bulb base, turn the bulb clockwise. Replace the bulbs high beam on the outside and low beam on the inside.

Changing low beam bulb

depending on which side it is either the battery box asembly or the air cleaner assembly has to be removed to get to the wire keeper that holds the headlight bulb assembly in the rear of the headlight housing. then release the wire keeper and the bulb assembly comes out of the rear of the headlight housing and you can change the bulb. do not touch the glass part of the new bulb assembly, only handle the metal part of the new bulb assembly.

How do i get to my low beams on my chrysler 2005 sebring sedan i got to the high beams perfect but the low beams right next to it has a metal barrier surrounding it which makes it impossible

Unfortunately, the answer I have is not a happy one =(. My wife has a 2005. In order to replace the bulb you will have to pull the Crutons (plastic push pins) that hold the front bumber cover on, remove the Headlight housing & replace the bulb that way. Shame on Chrysler for making it so difficult, in my opinion. But I hope this helps you to change the bulb =)

I startup engine, then, turned headlights. The headlights had been on about 2 seconds, then, both headlights were suddenly off. High beam lights are ok. Today, I went to AutoZone and changed new fuse (15a)...

Maybe the low beam of both headlights blew up. Headlight bulbs have 2 coils, 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam. Just like a regular light bulb, when the coil breaks the light doesn't work. But the high beams are still ok. If you've never changed em, 8 years come around its probably around time to replace them. If you can, see if you can remove the bulbs. It's pretty easy, for most cars its just locate where the lights are located under the hood, then turn the headlight bulb housing counter clockwise and should pull out. inspect it for any broken coils. if you need to replace both, get the part number or take it to a parts store and ask an employee for help. If you reinstall it yourself, be sure not to let your fingers touch the new bulb. if you do, clean it with rubbing alcohol before you put it back in the housing.

How do you replace the drivers side headlight bulb on a 2004 New Beetle convertible?

1. Remove headlight housing. A.Open Hood and pull the release lever at the back of the housing. The headlight housing slides in and out of the body in tracks. B.Pull out the headlight housing far enough to disconnect the electric connectors, then slide the housing completely out. 2. Remove the retaining clip to remove the upper (low beam) or lower (high beam) bulb from the holder from the back of the housing unit. Remove the old bulb(s). 3. Do not touch the bulb with your bare hands! Wear clean gloves or hold with a clean paper towel. Fingerprints on the bulb will cause the bulb to burn out or explode!. Insert the new bulb. 4. Replace the retaining clips and insert the housing back into the tracks and into the body. Plug the electric connectors in and insert the housing completely. 5. Reposition the release lever to the original position being careful not to break the plasic lever. 6. Check your lights for operation.

Can you give me the steps to change the headlight bulb

8ccc44f.jpg
You might have to jiggle the headlight while doing this, dust and rock particles get wedged in the tracks making it hard to slip out.

Low beam headlight is out, doesn't look like a fuse

Check the Headlight Switch. If your headlights come on automatically check the headlight sensor and its associated relay.
