Question about 2002 Toyota Celica

Open Question

Apline CDA-9831 into a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS

Had this head unit(Alpine CDA-9831) in my 1991 Celica, it was basically plug and play, but im confused on how to install this into my new Celica. I bought a wire-harness from best buy (Metra 70-1761 kit) and their saying i have to cut the alpines harnesses end off and splice this kits wires onto it, so it connects to the OEM pre-exsisting end, but my alpine 9831 has more wires i believe, so im little confused and i don't want to cut my head units wires unless i have too. please help. this car has the 8 speaker setup, not sure if that affects anything or not.

    This should get you going:

The 2 Blue with a Yellow trace are the POWER wires

The Grey wire is the ACC

The Pink wire is Frontt Left +

The Violet wire is Frontt left -

The Green wire is Front Right +

The Blue wire is Front Right -

The Black wire is Rear Left +

The Yellow wire is Rear Left -

The Red wire is Rear Right +

The White wire is the Rear Right -

The Brown Wire is the GROUND

The Black with a Red tracer goes to the auto antenna

The Pink with a Blue Tracer goes to an aux amp, if you have one.

SOURCE: aftermarket stereo wiring harness does not fit oem

Theres a standard amongst most stereos, so if these colors apply, then you will be right,
Red is Ignition power
orange is direct power
Black is earth
blue is for phone
White is for electric arial
then there will be four coloured wires with matching color trace wires, these are the speaker wires.
Hope this gets you going, good luck.

SOURCE: where is the stock headlight wiring harness

they should use the actual plug that goes into the light end into the h.i.d light bulb, the other in the bulb plug that had to be removed from the original bulb.

SOURCE: rear speakers don't work after new head unit

There could be several reasons why the head unit for your car does not work. The most likely issue is that the head unit is not compatible with your stereo system. You can consult your vehicle owner's manual for speaker issues.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to know which wires go to which on a 2000

Kenwood wiring diagrams are usually on Kenwood website. You just need a jumper harness from the Toyota plugs to your player. A good local ICE shop or car accessories shop could help. Try EBAY?
