2003 Celica passenger window fault

I have been fixing my door speaker in the drivers door and I now find that my passenger window will no operate. There is no power going to it yet the drivers window still works. I'm not sure if its coincidence or I have disturbed something in the drivers door that would make it falter. Please help

hey i have a toyota celica 2003 my passenger window wont go up or down is it the glass switch by any chance i heard this is very expensive to replace??

Look to see if you have depressed the "window lock-out" button on the center console, by the window switches; if this button is pushed, the pass window power is cut off; advise me back if this helps. If not, I can send you a wiring diagram to troubleshoot power feeds.

That dog on button on the left side of the steering wheel was the culprit for me. I had two hours in this job figuring it was the three hundred dollar switch. Till I read this blog. Thank you!!!

I thought the problem was electric too after a car wash! I freaked out but it is the stupid button on the left side of the steering wheel indeed.

Passenger side power window does not work

We had this problem and just actually fixed it today. Had tried a passenger side door switch but that didn't help. We ended up buying and replacing the drivers side door switch and that solved the problem of our passenger side window not going up or down. The driver side switch is a one piece unit available from the dealer and it controls both driver and passenger side windows.

Driver and Passenger auto door locks are inop.

Sounds like bad wiring, or bad door lock actuators. Check for power while locking/unlocking the doors.

Removing door panel

ONCE YOU HAVE UNSCREWED THE DOOR HANDLE AND WINDOW WINDER (IF NOT ELECTRIC WINDOWS) THEN THE PANEL JUST SIMPLY UNCLIPS, IF YOU HAVN'T GOT THE SPECIAL TOOL, THEN START IN THE BOTTOM CORNER, GENTLY PULLING IT AWAY FROM THE DOOR

THE POWER WINDOWS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF MY 99 EUROVAN CAMPER DO NOT OPERATE. THE WINDOW ON PASSENGER SIDE OPERATES NORMALLY FROM PASSENGER SIDE, BUT WILL ONLY GO DOWN WHEN ATTEMPT MADE TO OPERATE IT FROM...

This is essentially correct. A common problem with earlier models of Eurovans is the wiring through the door boot. Check this first as the wires tend to become brittle and break. This can save you alot of hassle in getting the door panel off and inspecting the motor mechanism. A good sign is if when you press the window switch you hear a little "click" in the right front of the dash. That is the window relay engaging. Power is getting to that point in the circuit but can't make it back through to the door.
