Yes, fairly easy.
Roll the window down, remove the window crank handle, remove the screws through the arm rest, remove the screw holding in the trim by the door release handle.
The panel is held to the door by plastic "christmass tree" clips (they kind of look like a pine tree).
They make a tool for panel removal that you can pick up at any parts store for a couple of bucks. Or you can use a stiff putty knife (the tool makes it so much easier).
Once you pop it free, slide the panel up (it hooks into the window channel).
They normally take me about 2 minutes to take off (but I have done it for years, allow yourself about 10 minutes).

Not an easy task. You'll have to remove the back seat to remove the door panel. Once you have the panel off, reach in and unlock the child lock. Open the door. It gives you more room to work. Find the clip that is broken. Some of it could be in the bottom of the door. Rods are the same in diameter, but the length matters. Auto arts store are starting to carry some of them. Being a 99, junk yard is your best bet.
it depend what kind of door panel you have.... first of all u need to disassemble the door. you can do this by taking of the trim on the door, look for any hidden screws in the panel and take them of be careful regarding the wiring for component speakers and power windows as they are tricky to fix once gotten out of hands. once the panel is out simply replace the old part with a new one. there will also be self tappers in the door so u will need to apply a little force once u get all the screws out.
Honda makes it really easy on owners to put door mirrors in. Follow these steps.
If you open your car door and look on the lower right side of the window, on the inside you will see a little piece of panel separate from the door panel.
get a flat tool and gently pry off the little corner piece of paneling. Start at the top of this panel and as you move down it should be off enough to pull the paneling up and out.
Now you will notice the wire harness hanging down into the door panel.
Pull that harness up until you see the connector.
Separate the connector and TAPE or otherwise anchor the harness so it DOES NOT fall into the door panel.
Now there are three 10 or 12 mm bolts to remove. After removing two just loosen the last one up a bit so you can support the mirror with one hand while using your finger to remove the last few turns of that last bolt.
Now gently ease the mirror off minding the wire harness in tow behind.
Now you just reverse to complete the job. Should take all of 15 minutes.

There are two screws in the door pull (which face straight down) - remove those first.
Next remove bezel around inside door handle. Carefully use screwdriver to push in on four tabs (at the four compass headings) and pull out on bezel. These are easy to break as they get brittle with age.
Start at bottom of door (using a trim removal tool) and pry out door fasteners (white posts which fit into friction fittings in door). You have to pry pretty hard. Use trim removal tool to apply force right at fastener. There are 3-4 on bottom of door and two on each side.
Once all the fasterners are loose. Carefully look behind door and remove the doors light and speaker connectors. The Speaker Connector can be hard to get to - you may need some help holding panel. Be careful because the wires to speakers are delicate and easy to break.
Once the panel is loose - roll down windows and pull up on door panel. It has a lip that fits over top of the door opening. You must pull straight up to disengage it.
That's it all done - not really hard but will seem a little strange at first. Take your time and be careful and the seconds one will take much less. I've had to remove all four of my door panels on my 1999 K1500 to replace window and lock motors. But, after 200,000 miles the 'burb is going strong.
Check the windows switch on driver side. Most of the time if driver side switch goes bad it effects everything to work properly. There's really no way to test the switch unless you have volt meter tester, switch are 40 bucks new and 10-15 used at juck yard. If your driver door switch working fine than check you regulator and motors. to get to it you will have to take the door apart and its painful and not easy task but if little mechanical incline with proper tolls, you do fine. Before you tear into the door, check or replace the door switch first, 99% of the time it solved the problems, assuming the window motor is working. hope that help..good luck!
they make a tool V-shaped that should be used for prying around the door panel..door airbags should not be triggered unless wiring for them is shorted, replacing speakers should not mess up any other wiring , fuses should be fine as are..
If you cannot Locate any Screws, First try looking for Screw Hole Covers or Plugs. If None, Just start at the Bottom and Pull. You may need to go to your Auto Parts Store and Purchase a Package of Door Panel Fasteners for the Panel. Usually you will Break 3 or 4 of these During Removal and Install. Please Rate My Response! You have to take the door panels off.
The front speakers are 6"
So remove the front door panels, unbolt the factory speakers, bolt the new one in the existing holes, reinstall the door panels.
The grills will look factory, but you will have better speakers. Nice way to keep the good stuff hidden from prying eyes.
I wish I could help you with that but I am about to change my speakers as well and I have the newer body 99 Jetta. what size are the door speakers for the front and the back? Thanks and I hope someone can answer your question....and if its not answered by the time i change mine i will let you know what i figured out!
