Are u referring to the check engine light (engine maintenance required light)? If so, u need to check for codes stored in the computer before you reset.

If you are referring to "Maintenance Required" part at the bottom of your odometer that turns from green to red... you can use the tip of a key or something else small and push in the little button-**** and it will reset it back to green.

How to reset the oilchange reset buttom on an avalon limitted 2008

On a 2010 this is how you reset the maintenance due light. Turn the ignition switch to the on position to make sure it is showing odometer not trip (A) or (B) then turn ignition switch off. Hold the odometer button in while turning the ignition switch back to the on position (do not start the engine) and continue to hold until the odometer shows all zero's..oooooo then the maintenance due light should go off when the engine is started.

Maintenance required on dash board how can i reset it please help

    • 1

Sit inside the driver's seat of the Honda Accord and close the driver's side door. Any interior lights on can prevent the maintenance required light from resetting properly on some year models.

    • 2

Insert the key in the ignition.

    • 3

Depress the odometer/trip button located beneath the odometer on the instrument panel. Hold the button down.

    • 4

Turn the ignition key two clicks forward to the accessory power position. This is also known as the key-on/engine-off position.

    • 5

Continue to hold down the odometer/trip button for up to 15 seconds until the maintenance required light goes out. On some Accord models, the maintenance required light may blink once before going out.

    • 6

Release the odometer/trip button and then turn the ignition key to the off position.

    • 7

Start the Honda Accord to ensure the maintenance required light is no longer illuminated on the instrument panel. If it still is, the reset procedure did not take and you'll need to repeat the procedure.

I have a 2008 corolla. It has an auto light when the car needs an oil change. I need to know how to reset it.

Look in your owners manual and go to the part that explains the different symbols on your dash. Look for that service reminder and it should tell you what page to go to to learn more about that. Somewhere there should be some wording to the effect that "When you have your car serviced by a certified Toyota dealer they will reset it for you. In the event that someone other does your maintenance then this is the procedure to reset......."

    Maintenance Required Light

The instruction is in your owners manual. I also perform my own maintenance. Well, here's the steps if you still haven't done it. Good Luck

Put the key into the ignition and press the odometer button. While holding down the odometer button, turn the key to the on position. You will see "-----"on the odometer display. It will count down "-----" "----" "---" "- -" "-". Then you will see zeros on the odometer display "000000". You can now release the odometer button. This will reset the maintenance light on your dash.
