Question about 1998 Ford Windstar
Thanks for your description of the surge fix on the 98 Windstar. Mine does exactly the same thing. Surge with check engine light. Mechanic can make it go away. Now the question: where is the starter ground strap? Thanks.
Starter ground/earth strap/cable is normally the cable negative that comes from battery and connects to the engine or where the trans joins engine ? also it may have a seperate strap connected from some location on the chassis and to engine if you trace neg cable from battery you will find where it connect to engine try at point rear of engine? ensue they are clean/secure starter motor takes its ground fro this ie engine--battery
