My 2003 ford explorer, alarm goes off for no reason, horn blowing, light flashing. help

Adjust the sensitivity of the alarm system.

It may be too sensitive and is being set off by the glass breaking sensors.
loud noises usually set this off if it is too sensative.

yes... on the unit itself. there is an adjustment screw you'll need to turn in one way or the other for sensitivity

Why does the alarm suddenly sounds for seconds?

It could be a poor connection on a door trigger.
or if you have a shock sensor, it might be set to sensitive. you can adjust the sensitivity if you can find it. generally it is a little clear box about 2 x 3 inches with a tiny hole in the side for a flat blade screw driver. the box is usually located under the dash.

good luck

Continuosly alarm going off.

If its an aftermarket alarm check the manual to adjust the sensor sensitivity. If you don't have the manual check the alarm's manufacture website or contact them. Some times the shock sensor is in the antenna itself. There'll be a button saying something like, HI, MID, LOW. Set the sensitivity to MID or medium sensitivity.

Car alarm

The shock sensor needs to be adjusted. Its too sensitive. There is small box mounted next to the alarm(brain/box) it has a small flat head screw on it, turn clockwise to increase sensitivity and counter clockwise to decrease. Good Luck
