Sounds to me like if your voltage is high that your alt is going bad. Id check the batt with a meter while the car is running. If your alt is over charging then odds are then its going bad.

Testimonial: "We will check that out and let you know the outcome. Thanks, Cindy"

Thank you for the advice. We just put in a new alternator, but it is still doing the same thing. High voltage and burning the headlights.

Did they put on the right amp alt? There are different volts they can put out? There really isnt any reason other then that to have high volts? If you are having headlights blowing there could be a short? You could also olm the wires going to the headlights? like i said its just strange to me that you have high volts.

Need the firing order for 1992 s-10 blazer. pulled the cap and lost the labels

For the 4.3 liter V6 engines it's 1-6-5-4-3-2, number one is driver's side front on the distributor and rotation is clockwise. Number one cylinder on the engine is driver's side front, number two is passenger side front and the rest follow the same pattern.

I have an 85 s-10 blazer 2.8 v-6 gauge shows 40 # of oil pressure but there is no oil getting up to the rocker arms. pushrods are not plugged.could the rear cam bearing have turned preventing oil from...

its likely the pushrods for the rockerarms are gummed up
with crud , not allowing oil tp pass thru , they are hollow.
You could remove and soak them in solvent and use a
wire to clean them out or replace them.

I have a 97 suburban that keeps burning the cap and rotor, When I replace them it runs great for about a month and then it starts missing and then within about 6 months it burns out and wont run. Thanks,...

Ive seen caps develop tracking, but cannot remember ever seeing one burn out...What does it look like when that happens? Also, I'll assume it is burning for now...have you tried a high quality cap & rotor like the blue ones made by Standard Motor Products? (they have a high dilectric# and can handle voltage far in excess of what a stock coil can produce.
