My 1994 hyundai excel wont start, its not that it wont turn over or fire,...

Hello, and thank you
If i didn't no better id think it was the wrong key.Plus it seems2b getting worse,i fear "fubared". My key started having problems about 2 weeks ago with a wiggle of the steering wheel here n a twist of the steering column there to a frantic cry of mercy begging the car to please let me make it to the very important interview- that it did not! though after a very frustrating45minutes later i finally twisted n wiggled (?) it enough start? do u have any ideas? :-) My uncle says i need to copy the key cause its worn, is this possible? will a new copied key make my starting problem stop?

thank you mr. tech => you were right--ish ... it turns out my key had, some how, split down the center. It was'nt able to touch both tumblers, when engaged to the ignition it would sorta well get squished together.

The most likely way to solve your probablem is replace the ignition switch as a whole as it is woren out coping the key will not solve your probablem as it is also woren out

My 1994 excel hatch ran out of fuel and now it wont start even after i put more fuel in it. the car is trying to turn over but i dont think the fuel is going through the filter ? what do i do

first check if there is a reset button for the fuel pump. it will be red. either in the trunk or on the passenger side in the front. then, if problem not solved, bleed the line. find the bleeder on the line under the hood. open it and turn the key on a few times without starting until you see fuel coming out. close bleeder and start the engine.

Radio code for 1997 Hyundai Excel. Factory supplied radio.

if you have the owners log books for the car look to see if the code is in there
if you do not have it then you need to get the model and chassis number from the top of the unit
then you need to go to Hyundai and they will get the code number and they will give it to you
i think you are better off going and getting a new cd player and having that installed
hope that helps

Starting my vehicle

If you will buy a Haynes or Chilton aftermarket service manual at an auto parts store (or on line), you can probably locate the switch pretty easy.
I wouldn't advise doing it though; it is one of the better ideas when it comes to safety, otherwise a child could turn the key and create havoc if the car was not in neutral. I can't think of a circumstance when this is an undesirable feature.
