You have a transaxle, the diff is part of the transmission, drop the trans pan change the filter and refill with ATF+4 fluid.

97 dodge grand caravan 3.3 L no power to fuel inj and fuel pump engine runs fine on starting fluid. Eatx relay seems to be the problem

If it runs fine on starting fluid, then it points to a fuel pump or circuit being bad.

Good luck.

If you have a positraction differential, you need posi additive along with the new lube. After it's in, take it to a parking lot and make tight left turns then tight right turns to get the lube between the posi plates. That usually frees it up unless there is an actual mechanical problem in the diff.
good luck!

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SHIFT SOLENOID. COULD BE INTERNAL PART. SUGGESTION: CHANGE FILTER AND FLUID IN TRANSMISSION PAN. SHOULD HAVE BOTH TRANS FILTER KIT AND SHIFT SOLENOID AT PARTS STORE. BEST OF LUCK. KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING

Trasmission oil change

The transmission fluid should be flushed out every 60,000miles. In your owners manual there will be a service interval section that will tell you how often the fluid should be changed.

Differetial fluid

This car has a transaxle,It uses quailty ATF, transmissions are big bucks, fluid is cheap, I use synthetic fluid in all my cars (4) and never had a single trans problem, ever.

just as your mechanic said it is the overrunning clutch case and you might be able to save it by changing the fluid in it and adding an additive we alway use the limited slip additive made for GM and it has gone away within 100 mile of driving. what this clutch does is links the front to the rear axel and if your tires do not match in size (overall diameter) this clutch has to work over time. and wil ruin this clutch . so check your tires first and hope the additive will save your clutches. good luck
