I just replaced the fan clutch on my F150. It doesn't take too long but I would recommend you get one of the Haynes type book for your cressida. The reason I say that is because of the method they use to attach the fan clutch to the engine.If you need the special tool to unloosen the large nut, you can get it from a good parts store. They charge you for it but refund the $$ when you bring it back

Heads up because the mane nut is usually a left handed thread

petrtol engine alloy head then around 65 if this oldie is cast iron head then 75 is ok but a higher setting can be used to make sure its down and you dont have to do it again after a set time of say 85/90

If it uses a carb, the primary jet may smaller so replace this with another jet size 90. I was able to solve the same problem with my car.

In the future let your father know he should contact us to save himself alot of work and money replacing items that do not need to be replaced. We provide professional advice at no cost.
The symptoms on this point directly to the Blower Motor Resistor located near the Blower Motor. When these Resistors fail, the motor will only operate on High (and Off).

When I turn the ignition key in my '90 Cressida
Do the dash lights come on with key on?Try starting it in neutral.Turn key on,and foot on brake,and shift the gear shift into drive,and back into park,kind of hard,Now try to start it.Let me know right what happens,we will go from there.

'90 Toyota Cressida Radiator Problems
Antifreeze from the radiator does go into your engine to cool the engine down thats normal but if antifreeze is found in the engine oil then you have a problem, like bad head gasket or cracked engine head or engine block. Hope I answered your question. If I did leave me a FIX YA
