Question about 2004 Acura TL

04 TL pass window reverses on way up

On the Passenger front window the glass goes up about 4 inches and reverses whether on auto or holding the switch, I lubed up the runs and it got a little better (doesnt do it all the time). It seems the amperage is too high and the system reverses tha glass. Are there any known concerns or a reset procedure I need to perform? Thank you in advance.

How to replace a quarter window on 95' Ford thunderbird LX. Passenger side quarter window and what tools will I be using.


Remove the door panel, remove the window trim, remove the window regulator, Remove the window frame(push down ,then pull out from the top), Remove the broken glass from the seal, install window. Put back together in reverse order. You will need a Phillips screw driver, a drill and 1/4 bit, a 10 MM wrench or socket, 1/4 rivets X 1/2 inch long and rivet gun that handles up to 1/4 inch rivets.

I Installed a new door glass (front passenger side) When I roll up the window on auto it goes to the top then comes back about 3 inches by itself and stops is there a way to set the door glass to stop...


its called auto rollback(to stop kids getting thier fingers caight)it will reset itself(eventually)if you use the normal switch and then turn off the ignition when closed(you may have to do this a couple of times)

2006 Acura TL - power windows - Passenger window goes up part way reverses and goes back down.


most new acuras have what you call an anti pinch sensors which means when there is an extra load on the power window motor, it is picked up by a controll module and makes the window go back down ie, you get your fingers cought between the window and the door frame. sometimes this happnes by its self because either the window is off track and not going up stright thus putting extra load on the motor. or, the window runner track its self (which is mostly rubber) is mislodged. causing the window not to fully rest in the full up position.

Replaced passenger side door glass. When you use


What you need to do to initialize the window is remove the window motor from the regulator. Plug it into the car by itself, then press up on the switch until it turns four times. Then hold the switch down for four turns, then put motor back into the regulator, and assemble back into the door. to make sure the motor spins correctly four times I make a tooth on the gear with a marker.

Vwpassat20006 1.9TDI, passenger side power window,keeps opening after it is closed from the drivers side, it can keep going up & down about halfway on Its own. Is there a "brain" printed circut...


the modules may need reset if that doesnt work it may need a module for the window motor to reset use switch run window up holding switch in up position until it has been up for 10 seconds then run down in the same manner do this for both front windows if this doesnt work you will need to take it where it can be scanned through the window modules usually vw dealer only has this capability unless you know someone with vagcom

Door Glass, Front Removal
  1. Remove door trim panel and watershield. Refer to Section 01-05. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Prior to removing center pins from the rivet, it is recommended that a suitable block support be inserted between door outer panel and glass bracket to stabilize glass during rivet removal. Remove center pin from each rivet with a drift punch. Using a 1/4-inch diameter drill, drill out remaining rivets as damage to plastic glass retainer and spacer could result.
  1. Remove two rivets attaching glass to run and bracket assembly.
  1. Remove glass.
  1. Remove drillings and pins from bottom of door.
Installation
  1. Snap plastic retainer and spacer into two glass retainer holes. Make certain that metal washer in the retainer assembly is on outboard side of glass.
  1. Insert glass into door.
  1. Position glass to glass bracket. Install two rivets to secure glass to glass bracket. NOTE: Two 1/4-inch-20 x 1-inch bolts and two 1/4-inch-20 nut and washer assemblies may be used as alternates for glass retention. However, torque must not exceed 4-7 Nm (36-61 lb-in). Equivalent metric retainers (6mm) may be used.
  1. Install door trim panel and watershield. Refer to Section 01-05.

Front passenger power window does not work properly.


Take it to an Auto glass place and they can fix that problem.
If your going to try it you need to remove the inside door panel and look at the window rail fram and check the fasteners that hold the glass to the mounting brace. Inspect the guild rails for the window for any damages and worn parts. 
After inspecting and re tighten all the nut's and bolts and glass lines up. Just put things back together like new. Good luck and buy new door clips for the panel since they break easy.

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.

The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.
