Question about 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis
I just bought a used 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis and I am trying to use the outside door code, How do i reset this??
If there is not a little card in the glove box considering it is a used car and probably is not.
The five digit code is printed in two other places on the car, at least this is how it is on mine. One copy is just under the trunk hinge on the drivers side of the car. The other is on the computer module behind the driver side door panel. which is hard to get to and seldom the code is printer on the computer module under the dash but check the trunk hinge first let me know if you found it otherwise you will have to take somethings apart!

I have a '97 Sable and the manual says you must have the 5-digit code that the manufacturer issued with the vehicle. It is permanent. It came on a small card, slightly smaller than a credit card. It looks like if you don't have it you're out of luck. If you had the code, you could then program your own code.
