There should be a plug for the heater element. I think a new replacement comes with it, I am unsure. But just remove the old glass by using a screwdriver, wrapped in tape if you want, to pry it from the clips. The clips will release it, then unplug the heater element wire that is in the mirror. Plug the new mirror heater element, install mirror, it snaps into place, just give it a little pressure to make sure it is seated in the clips correctly.
It's not possible to replace bulb in the light it's one unit with neon bulb you have to replace compleat light for that not the jest a bulb. it's most common fault in this model most of lights not working because of wiring broken or short circuit inside the mirror housing for remove and install light housing it's need experience to do that otherwise can damaged some parts inside the mirror mechanism I would like to advice you see the experience technician for mercedes to do that. and ask him to check wiring inside the mechanism first.

About 45 minutes labor. It's fairly easy for the mechanically inclined person. You need to remove the trim on the inside of the truck that covers the mirror, then you have mounting screws that you need to remove. If you have a power mirror you need to release the electrical pigtail, then you can take the mirror out.Install is reverse of removal.Any other questions please get back to me.I'm here to help.HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Your going to have to remove the inside door panel to get to the three bolts that hold the out side mirror assembly. Once you have the door panel off you'll see the three bolts that hold the mirror assembly, just un-bolt and un-clip the wire harness to the electric/heated mirror. To install the new mirror assembly, just do everything in reveres. Go to Auto Zone and by extra door panel clips, there is a good chance of breaking some of the retainer clips and Auto Zone will have the step by step instructions to replacing the mirror assembly and the removal to the door panel. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.
you need to remove the door panel ,to install mirror assy-tere are no special tools(10mm socket, ratchet and #2 phillips screwdriver)3 nuts hold the assy. to the door and the connector is easy to see, there are no special sealers needed(seal is already on mirror assy)good luck!
