My son had the same problem, I adjusted his timing and his throttle positioning sensor and repaired a small vacuum leak it cured the problem for him.

This is the same driveline on a Ford Ranger, so you can also look up information on that. Is it Auto or Manual?

Maxda B4000 RPM skips 2000 to 5000

If you can actually hear the engine race up to 5000 RPM you may have a serious problem. But more then likely you cant actually hear the engine rev up. If this is the case I would suspect a bad Tachometer ground wire.

CPS? You replace the crankshaft position sensor on the front of the engine or the camshaft position sensor on the rear of the intake? Was it doing the same thing before you replaced it. You might have got a bad one.

Engine surges not responsive to WOT

SOUNDS LIKE THE T.P.S. IS NOT FUNCTIONING. ALTHOUGH IT MAY TEST OK, IF IT IS NOT RESPONDING, THEN IT MUST BE REPLACED. UNLESS YOU HAVE A FUSE FOR THE TPS, THEN IT MUST BE THE ONLY REASON FOR NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. AND FOR AN HONEST RATING IN ADVANCE. GOOD LUCK.

1994 Mazda B4000 4WD V6. Check engine light on. Truck

if i remember right if the battery light and check engine light is on, your alternators may be bad. your battery may just have enough to keep it running for a minute or so. you can take it out and get it tested at a auto parts store. or try charging your battery for awhile and see if it stays on longer. if this is completely wrong let me know
