Question about 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan
When we put a new battery in the a/c and recirculation buttons flash all the time. They told me there was a code to stop these lights. Can you possibly tell me what the code would be? Thanks pepperoni
Anytime you disconnect the battery on this car the a/c contoller will do this. The contoller, which on the back of the contol assembly, will have to perform a system test and pass to stop the lights from flashing. It's been awhile since I've done it so I can't remember which exact buttons to push, but you start the car and turn the blower on high. Then you hold 2 certain buttons down on the control for so many seconds then release to start the test. The lights will change while in test mode. I think you hold down the rear wash and ac on buttons to start it but I'm not sure. If it doesn't work a dealer may tell you how to do it. If your A/C is not working or charged or if it detects any other problem, it will pass and reset.
