Dodge Caravan Interior Heating Problem

The interior of my 1995 Caravan does not get warm. It sounds like it's operating correctly (nothing obstructing the flow of air; the air conditioner works) but it blows only very mild warm air (not "cold") but you must still keep your gloves on and your toes will get numb for long drives. It doesn't matter how long the van has been on. The radiator was flushed and new antifreeze put it only last month. Does anyone have any idea why? I thought it might be a thermostat and wonder if this may be possible and is it possible to repair this myself? If not, any input would be welcome so I'll at least have some idea what a mechanic is to do. Thanks. * Sent from AltaVista http://www.altavista.com Where you can also find related Web Pages, images, Audios, Videos, News, and Shopping. Smart is Beautiful heater not getting hot

Sounds like the power sliding door master switch on the overhead console is either in the off position, or something has gone wrong with the switch or the wiring. I'd check that switch and perhaps even actuate is a few times. It's the one to the far right.

Dodge grand Caravan 1995 has been acting up with erratic heating since last month.

Could possibly need a new thermostat, the thermostat opens and closes depending on the heat of the coolant. maybe also check your heating core. as well as the quality of you coolant.

Rotate and operate the switch for your interior lights. This also dims/brightens your dash lights when you turn on your headlights.

How do i know if my starter is bad

Check your battery first....do the interior lights and dash operate, locking system functions, and headlights appear bright? If so, when you turn the key is there any sound or indication that the engine wants to start? Is there a "clicking" sound, or no sound at all? If your lights all function and there has not been any recent work to your van then there is a good chance that either the connection to the starter is loose or the starter itself has failed (e.g capacitor, bushings, physically frozen/rusted,)

Heater works but defrost fills inside with fog.

your heater core has probably sprung a leak.does the fog smell kinda sweet?....check the floor in the front where the floor mats are for moisture or even puddles of antifreeze.(the replacement of a heater core can be very expensive as the entire dash usually needs to be removed to access the heater core)also look under the engine near the firewall for antifreeze drips.
