I had the same problem and Ia m working to resolve it. You need to remove the blover under the glove box it's very easy to remove. 1) remove the glove box, 2) the metalic suport that it's hold by 4 screws and finally remove the 3 screws that holds the blower. Take it off and remove the coverplate of the motor ( 2 screws) and check the brushes. In my case they were worn out. So you need to buy a new motor with the blower aprox $50 or try to replace the brushes.

blower motors are regulated by group of resistors that cause the voltage to reduce at different amounts resulting in high to low speeds on the fan. When this fails the motors goes to high speed all the time. These are not expensive or hard to replace. Usually a plug connector and a couple of screws and around $25 will do it. These are located under the dash in the main body of the heater as they rely on air blowing over them to reduce the heat created by the resistance. the side opposite the connector will look like sifferent sizes of wire wound much like a spring to create resistance and slow the blower motor down. Once you have this out you can go to a parts store and ask for a replacement one. good luck
it may have a blown head gasket if it keep over heating or there could be just an air lock in the cooling water,, you will need to bleed the air out to stop the over heat as the water is not going around the engine its not opening the thermostat so it cant bleed its self take off a water pipe thats the higest pipe you can find it may have a bleed vent in a pipe were you can bleed it from ,,,top up the rad and header tank take off the bleed nippel when water with no air is coming out and the jobs a good un? run the motor for a time or go for a drive to check its not ever heating again and the heater should by now be blowing hot air,, top up the rad and header tank when its coold down
If your just talking about the fan, the fan is the blower motor. Behind your glove-box is a black plastic box that houses the evaporator(which the blower blows on to give you cold air, the heater-core ( which the blower blows on to give you heat). Your car has both components, the compressor is mounted in front of your car's engine and the fan, you know. Most likely you won't be able to handle repairing the a/c system. You can buy 1lb. cans to charge your a/c but repairing it requires special tools, gauges, temp. readings, containment systems,and so on.
