YOU will need to remove fornt hub/rotor assembly. this will reveal the spindle and 5 nuts holding it to the knuckle remove nuts slide off spindle and axle will then come out. then you can replace joint

Raise the front of the vehicle and install safety stands.
Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to Section 04-04 .
Remove the disc brake caliper (2B120) from the rotor and wire it out of the way. Refer to Section 06-03 .
Remove the dust cap, cotter pin, nut retainer, nut, washer and front wheel bearing (1216).
Remove the rotor from the front wheel spindle (3105).

Tighten to 77-103 Nm (57-75 Lb-Ft)
Tighten to 68-92 Nm (50-67 Lb-Ft)
Tighten to 113-153 Nm (83-112 Lb-Ft)
Tighten to 340-460 Nm (250-339 Lb-Ft)
Remove bearing cone and roller (1201) and wheel hub grease seal (1190). Discard the seal.
Remove front disc brake rotor shield (2K004). Refer to Section 06-03 .
Disconnect the steering linkage from the integral front wheel spindle and spindle arm by removing the cotter pin and nut and then removing the front wheel spindle tie rod from the spindle arm with Tie Rod End Remover TOOL-3290-D or equivalent.
Remove the cotter pin and castellated nut from the lower ball joint stud.
Remove the nut from the axle clamp bolt and remove the bolt from the axle.
Remove the camber adjuster from the upper ball joint stud and axle beam. If required, use Ball Joint Removing Tool D81T-3010-B or equivalent to remove adjuster.
CAUTION: Do not use a pickle fork to separate the ball joint from the axle as this will damage the seal and the ball joint socket.
Strike the inside area of the axle as shown to pop lower ball joints loose from the axle beam.
Remove the front wheel spindle and ball joint from the axle.

Ball Joint Remover
Remove the front wheel spindle (3105) and ball joint assembly from the axle. Refer to Wheel Spindle, F-150, F-250, F-350 in the Removal and Installation portion of this section.
NOTE: Lower ball joint must be removed first.
Install the front wheel spindle in a vise and remove the snap ring from the lower ball joint.
Remove the lower ball joint from the front wheel spindle using U-Joint Tool T74P-4635-C and Receiver Cup D81T-3010-A5 or equivalent for F-150. Use Ball Joint Remover T94T-3010-AH for F-250 and F-350.
Turn the forcing screw clockwise until the ball joint is removed from the front wheel spindle.
CAUTION: Do not heat the ball joint or the front wheel spindle to aid in removal.
Assemble U-joint tool and cup on the upper ball joint, and turn forcing screw clockwise until ball joint is removed from the front wheel spindle.
CAUTION: Do not heat the ball joint or axle to aid in installation. NOTE: Upper ball joint must be installed into the front wheel spindle first.
NOTE: Individual ball joint tools are included in Ball Joint Adapter Set D81T-3010-A or equivalent.
To install the upper ball joint, assemble C-frame assembly, Ball Joint Receiver Cup D81T-3010-A5 and Installation Cup D81T-3010-A1 and D81T-3010-A3 or equivalents inside cup D81T-3010-A4 or equivalent in position on the front wheel spindle.
Turn forcing screw clockwise until ball joint is seated.
How to Replace a CV Boot ( DIY Complexity: Hard / Time: 3.2 hours )

Tools: 1. Mallet Hammer 2. 3/8 in. Drive Ratchet 3. Combination Wrench Set 4. Floor Jack 5. Flashlight 6. Flat Head Screwdriver 7. Socket Set 8. Tire Iron
Steps: Step 1 Secure the vehicle on a level surface, making sure the vehicle will not roll or lean too much when jacked up. o Tip: Safety Tip:Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or safety shoes.
Step 2 Lift up the front of the vehicle using a jack. o Tip: Using an aftermarket floor jack, instead of the original equipment (OE) jack, can make the job easier and safer. Verify the condition of the floor jack before use.
Step 3 Secure the vehicle with jack stands on both sides for safety before starting any work. The pinch welds and the frame are the two best locations. Do not rely on the jack to hold the vehicle up while working. o Tip: Try to find a flat, level, and strong surface to put the jack stands.
Step 4 Find the correct size socket and large ratchet or tire iron and turn the wheel lug nuts counter clockwise. Remove the front wheels. o Tip: It is a good idea to try and break the lug nuts free before you jack the wheels off the ground. This way they you will not spin the front wheels or put stress on the transaxle. o Tip: Lug nuts fasten the wheel to the hub and may be on very tight. To gain more leverage, use a breaker bar to loosen the nuts.
Step 5 Inspect the CV boot for damage. o Tip: The CV joint may be worn if the boot is damaged. Thoroughly inspect the CV joint assembly before installing the new boot. If the CV joint is damaged, replace the entire CV joint axle assembly.
Step 6 Mark the axle for installation reference. Remove the CV joint axle assembly.
Step 7 Using a bench vise, hold the shaft of the CV joint secure so that you can separate the CV joint from the shaft. Remove the CV boot clamps.
Step 8 Slide the CV boot off the outer CV joint.
Step 9 Using a rubber mallet, knock the CV joint off of the axle shaft.
Step 10 Remove the old boot from the CV axle shaft and wipe off any old grease. Clean the sealing surface on the CV joint.
Step 11 Fill the CV joint with grease and get it ready to slide back onto the shaft.
Step 12 Slide the new boot onto the shaft but do not tighten the inner clamp yet. Install a new retaining clip before putting the joint and axle together.
Step 13 Slide the CV joint back onto the axle shaft completely.
Step 14 Pack the boot with grease and slide the boot over the CV joint housing. Secure the boot with new clamps.
Step 15 Install the CV joint and axle back into the vehicle in the reverse order that it was removed.
Step 16 Mount the wheel back onto the hub assembly.
Step 17 Tighten lug nuts in a star pattern and torque to suggested manufacturer specifications in the vehicle owner’s manual.
Step 18 Remove jack stands.
Step 19 Lower vehicle with jack until it is securely on the ground.
Step 20 Drive the vehicle to make sure that any noises are no longer present and that there are no indications of wearing parts. Before road testing, visually inspect the area you have worked on to make sure everything is tightened and assembled properly.

remove front wheel brakes,rotors, axle nut,remove the four bolts on the bake side of your unit bearing using one of the 4 bolts removed from the unit bearing (also knowin as wheel bearing) go get a half dozen of the same bolt only 1 to 2 inchs longer theard them into the unit bearing from the back side and start beating. the unit bearing is a sob to get out but will come out with time once you get it out pull out your axle shaft replace the ujoint and reassemble anti seize everything as you re assemble it
to remove the axles, remove brake caliper and disc, remove hub assembly, the center hub/axle nut and...(there are i think 3-4 bolts on the back side of the spindle to remove the hub), you may have to force the hub off the spindle with a hammer or air hammer... once the hub is out the axle should slide out of the front differential allowing access to the ball joint nuts for removal...
Hi.. The step to remove the front Axles of you Vitara.
Raise and support Vehicle . Remove front wheel,
Remove Locking Hub if is equipaded,
Remove Circle clip from axle shaft
On right side of Vehicle, Remove the Stabilizer Little ball joint nut. Remove castle nut Front Tie rod end,
Remove mounting bolts from brake calipper,
Remove Calipper from steering knuckle and wire a side.
Remove Stud Nut from steering knuckle,
Support Lower suspension arm with a jack,
Remove lower strut bracket bolt ,
Lower jack and disconnect Knuckle from lower suspension crontrol arm,
Pull Outler joint from Hub.
Use Large screwdriver or Prybar To pry Right inner joint from differential, The axle will go out making a little froce with the prybar,
To remove the left side,
Remove mounting bolt from inner joint flange,
Pull out axle from hub.
To reinstall just reverse the prosses.
