Question about 1995 Nissan Maxima
I have a maxima QX SE 95 model, the problem is that when it idles, the needle drops to 500RPM, then cuts out, when I get to a stop light it cuts out when i need to drive off, when the gas pedal is pushed it chug's, like a fuel blockage, also a a small pop comes out of the exhaust, like a fire cracker. I have changed the throttle position sensor, spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel cleaner, air filter, I also ajusted the idle control, but didn't make a difference. When it cuts out, it will take a while to start, when it does start the smell of raw fuel and smoke comes out of the exaust. I have to really rev high to push the engine, so it doesn't cut out, but the revs are not smooth, the only way to describe it would be lumpy sound. Also when you let your foot off the gas, it makes that non-smooth sound, like it wants to cut out, sometimes it does. This happens more on rainy days, but less often on clear days. Doesn't like a drop in temp. I know this is lengthy, but I have tried everything, can someone please help? Thankyou.
SOUNDS LIKE THE FUEL INJECTORS ARE BAD WHICH UNFORTUNATELY ARE EXPENSIVE. YOU COULD POSSIBLY GET SOME USED INJECTORS FROM A JUNK YARD FOR CHEAPER.
