Question about 1994 Chevrolet Beretta

Car sputters as im going down the road it will drive fine however when i start going up a hill and i give it enough gas to keep its speed it starts to sputter like it is miss a hit i have changed the wires and the plugs the plugs are supposed to be pregaped at .60 what else could it be?

Is it 4 cyl 6 cyl if it is the 2.4 quad four i would replace the plug tubes from the coils to the plugs if it is the 6 cyl i would replace the plug wires and inspect the coil towers for corrosion

I have seen this problem and it is very often a problem with the engine wiring harness, where that may lie is anyones guess, look at places where the harness moves around allot.

My truck loses power


In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.

sounds like it may have a bad ignition miss. check spark plugs, wires, and coil packs.

i think your exhaust might have a leak which is heating up your oil when this happens the engine suffocates and wants to die.

have you changed the fuel filter lately a plugged fuel filter will cause this concern
did the power loss start all of a sudden or did you start losing power over time ?
