To replace a headlight bulb, turn the car off, but leave the lights on (popped up). With a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the three screws that hold in the panel around the headlight. Remove the panel. Remove the four silver screws holding in the silver surround around the headlight itself. Be careful not to drop the screws. Slide the headlight forward and carefully wiggle off the electrical connector on the rear of the light. Remove the rubber surround. Remove the locking ring. Remove the light bulb. Mine is a Phillips H4 12342 12V 60/55W globe. I guess they are the same world wide, but I might be wrong. Replace light bulb taking care not to touch it with your finger. The oil in your fingers shortens the lifespan of the globe. Reassemble.

Well..those are accessible from inside the engine compartment. the screws that release the main cowling and the actual bulb are inside that area, right behind the headlights..remove the connections behind the bulbs first, though..should take a phillips head screwdriver, some patience, and about 1 and a half hours.

not the case..check that link for a break out diagram that shows how to do it..you may need to get under that bumper to reach them..but not remove the bumper..and that rating is undeserved, you know. maybe after reviewing the issue, you will reconsider.

Change head lite bulbs 2000 toyota GTA

The easiest way to change them is to remove the 3 bolts that hold the headlight in place, 1 is directly on top of the headlight, 1 can be seen thru the upper radiator support(of course be sure to remove the plastic engine compartment covers if they are installed), and the 3rd is hidden underneath the front bumper cover, to remove the front bumper cover, move aside the inner wheel well panel nearest the sidemarker lights, pull the bumper cover off slighty fron a plastic snap lock that lines up the bumper with the fender, you should see the bolt as soon as you pull the bumper cover. Each bolt is a 10mm patern so I recommend a small ratchet with extension, once you remove the bolts, the headlights come right off. You might have a rubber cover over where the headlight bulbs are located, simlpy unscrew it, or pull it off whatever your vehicle has, I believe the bulb type is H7, its a standard low-beam bulb, keep in mind the passengerside headlamp is attached to the windshield washer refill reservoir which snaps in and out of place. Install is reverse procedure, I hope this helps, and if you need, go to Newcelica.org for ANYTHING Celica related.

Dash and tail lights stopped working on my daughters 1991 toyota celica gt. the fuse has been checked and replaced. it was ok. the headlights were recently changed. is it true the dash and tail lights run...

If the tail lights and the dash lights stopped working and the tail light and the panel lighting fuses are both o.k. and you can find no other blown fuses then the problem is most likely the headlight switch.

How do i change a headlight in a celica

Look on the back of the headlamp assembly and you'll see a cover. Give this a twist and the cover will pop off... reach inside the opening and push the retaining pin in slightly and upwards and it will release... the disconnect the harness to the back of the bulb and remove the bulb

How do you change the headlight bulb (low beam) on the passenger side of a 2000 toyota celica?

You should be able to access the buld holder from the rear of the headlight. It's a nylon bulb holder with a lock thing on it. You squeeze the lock part and turn it counterclock wise, and it should come out. Remove the old bulb and install the new one being careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers. The finger print you will leave can cause the bulb to prematurely die on you.

How do you change a headlight bulb on a 2003 Toyota Celica GT? Under the plastic covering the headlight there is a lot of fog and condensation and I want to clean it off, so how do I take off the plastic that covers the headlight?
Seem to be seal is wear off
already on the front cover
The way to open that
1. There is four screws at the back of
the headlights and unscrew them
2. Pull the headlight and dry it
by wiping or heat of the sun or
anything that can release the fog
3. Buy silicon and seal the headlight
gap with silicon and let it dry for a hour
This will help kept away fog
and condensation for sure
