The CV-boot has C-clips inside the boot they must be released befor the boot will come apart. It would be very hard to tell you how to do it on this page. I would not recommend doing this if you do not know what you are doing, as this requires dissassembly of the front brake and suspension system.
You really need a repair manual on how to fix CV-joints.
raise the front end and support with stands, remove wheel, remove axle nut, remove bolt that attaches bottome of strut to control arm remove lower ball joint bolt smack the knuckle where the ball joint is to remove and flip the knuckle out of the way, use pry bar to pop halfshaft out of ******. while installing new one make sure the splines line up and it pops in place installation reverse of removal
The real way to do it is to replace the front half axle, the boot goes on during assembly and there is no way to take it apart, put on a new boot, and reassemble it which is cheaper than just buying a new half axle. They also come in rebuilts which is the way to go on a car that old.
However if you have access to a lift and some time on your hands go to autozone and buy one of each size generic CV replacement boot kits. That way when you have the rest of the old one off, you can decide which kit to use and return the other one(s).
Follow the instructions, cleanliness is the basis of getting the glue to work.

They make what's called a split boot. If your car will go through tough inspection they may not pass, but they are easier to replace than the half-shaft and should last as long as the cv joint.
Do not try to get the cv axle out ot the axle housing. It is a major operation. Remove boot and disconnect the inner cv joint and save about five hours of time. The choice is yours ,boot or reman cv axle. You will need to take the reman. axle apart to install it though and some new clamps. Not a simple operation.
