Heater core

There's two hoses that run from the front of the engine to the firewall; those tubes sticking out through the firewall are your heater core connections. You'll have to pull the dash out to access the heater core for replacement; once you get the dash out you should be able to figure the rest out.

1989 chevy hearter coral needs holes..how to repair?

In the engine bay on the passenger side against the firewall. Follow that which should lead to 2 nipple fittings or 2 tubes where the hoses connect to the engine. Replace the hoses when you replace the heater core. If you try to replace the hoses later, you may break the fittings at the heater core because they have minimal flexibility.**Please rate me on this answer**

Heater core

My chilton manual said take apart the whole truck, take dash out, take breather assembly apart, take antenna off, take kicker panel off etc. All that is wrong, theres a black compartment door inside cab on passenger side, take 6 to 8 screws out, unhook hoses from under hood, it slides right out.
